Well, I have always wanted a soaker, a friend got a new XP 75, and I was hooked. Whenever I asked my parents to get one it was like, “No, they’re too harmful” and “Too flimsy”. But then in January 2004, I got my first soaker – a CPS 1500.

I was so excited! Too excited, I pumped my 1500’s trigger too hard, it snapped. I was all mad and such, so the next day, I went back to the store, returned it and bought another. It didn’t hold any pressure and only shot ten feet. I noticed there was some kind of a valve inside there that must have been broken… Hmmm…

Then I noticed I had an assortment of guns. Then, I decided to form a team, called the Neo-Soakers. From that day, I have now noticed, sitting on the floor in my kitchen, the guns; a CPS 1200, CPS 2100, Max-D 5000 and two Max-D 2000s.

My 1500 has now been repainted black and been K modded (so it's now called the CPS 15000). At the moment it is broken, I finally know what the problem is: the trigger valve is dead, and I have since been searching for a new one.

Once I had formed the team, mostly my friends from other towns and from the neighbourhood, I gathered info on their soakers, ranging from XP to CPS to 2004 Piston.

I am building a tree house in my backyard. That should serve as a nice base. Having it elevated means they can’t hit us easy…he, he, he…
