15th September 2004

Early in June 2001 I got my first water guns, a CPS 1000 and the blue-and-green model Storm. My family had a lot of fun with them, until the CPS 1000 broke, and we threw it out. I had a few more fights, and then stopped. During the 01/02 winter, we left the Storm outside, where it broke. We threw that out, too. That winter, I desperately wanted a Nerf gun, which my mum wouldn’t let me have because she “thought it would poke someone’s eye out”. I then left water guns/nerf until May 2003, when my mother surprised me one day after school with 3 EES Sonics and another storm gun. The Storm (once again) broke, and I never used the Sonics until 2004.

In 2004, while searching the internet, my mum stumbled on isoaker.com, and printed out an article about what water gun to choose for your position. She only printed out one page, because we didn’t have any more paper for the printer. When I got home from school, I read the one page, and asked my mum where she found it. She said she didn’t know, and that she only clicked on a hyperlink on google. I then vigorously searched the internet, until I came across iSoaker. There I searched until I had to go to sleep for that article, and to this date, I still haven’t found it. But that wasn’t the end, I saw a link to WaterWar.net, and I was hooked. Having posted on WWN about ten times by late March, I found a link to SSCentral.net. I went off WWN, only going back a rare few times. I then acquired a very large amount of water guns in a very short amount of time. I got 30 water guns in 5 months, most of them being the all-powerful CPS series.

I won a CPS 3000 off eBay, only to watch it break the second time I used it. I was very sad, and took a break from soakers for a week or two, until my friend's dad fixed it. Nothing of excitement happened for the next few months, until Blaze started a new site called soakthis.tk, now soakthis.com. Hyper9, claiming authority, told Blaze he would take drastic measures if Blaze didn’t shut down his week-old site, which out of plain annoyance, he did. I was very mad at what Hyper9 did, and flamed him big time at SSC. I then got a three-day Read Only from SuperStormer, who I had a flaming war with using the PM system. Then he, using his powers as moderator, ROed me for another week at SSC. By this time I was really annoyed with Superstormer and Hyper9, so I created a new account called Blah, Blah, and used it to spam SSC. I thought my plan was foolproof, because I was using my mum’s computer, and I was online at the same time on my computer. But because of the fact that we share the same internet connection, they traced the two accounts to the same IP Address. I was banned from SSC until January 31, 2005, and I am still serving this punishment while writing this saga. I thought of everything, changing my IP, using proxies, even getting a new computer (which I am planning to do anyway). In the end, I decided to just go with my punishment, and went to iSoaker forums for the next week or so.

With the recreation of soakthis.com and the Soak This Forums, I was extremely happy. I posted more than Blaze himself there, being that I had nowhere to go in that week. Blaze and Storm (BlueSmudge wasn’t home that week) then created Soak This Version 2, which is one of the best-looking websites I’ve ever seen (for me, of course), and I recommend joining the Soakthis forums. Not so everybody can ditch SSC and go there, but because it is a new soaker website, and I think it is very interesting. I also think you are going to enjoy the change they are making (I’m not telling).

As of today, I have made a revolutionary step in soakerdom. I have done a K-mod with 100 balloons on my CPS 2100, a sure accomplishment. I will others to do this mod to any sphere-CPS water gun, as the power increase is amazing an addictive. That is my saga up until August 18, 2004. I hope you liked it!
